WILDCAT ELITE CLUB:

The purpose of the Club is to offer top-notch instruction and opportunities for exposure to athletes who desire to learn and compete at their highest potential. We aim to turn good athletes into great lacrosse players. We hope that many Wildcat Elite Members will go on to play lacrosse at the next level. To be a member of the Wildcat Elite Club you must be committed, coachable, and excited about the sport.

TEAM FORMAT:

  • (2) ELITE TEAMS : Grades 9-12
    • Our Elite Teams consist of two squads with approximately 50 players total. Two teams will be formed and announced by coaches after the Fall Season.
    • Players will be divided by ability to compete at tournaments.
  •  (2) JUNIOR WILDCAT TEAMS : Grades 5-8
    • Our Junior Wildcats teams consist of two squads with approximately 50 players total. Two teams will be formed based on a combination of age, experience, and skill level.
    • The Junior Wildcat teams will focus on player development, preparation for high school lacrosse, and will provide the opportunity for introduction to competition. The Junior Wildcats is designed as a feeder program into our Elite teams.

 WILDCAT ELITE POLICIES:

  • Wildcat Elite Club is for members who have been invited to join the Club after a player tryout. Membership is renewed each year in late September, early October. Prior membership does not guarantee future membership.
  • Communication and player responsibility are essential elements of the Wildcat Elite Club. The vast majority of communication will be via email. Correspondence will be sent to both players and parents. It is YOUR responsibility to communicate, respond, and fulfill obligations as requested by the Wildcat Elite Coaches and office.
  • It is required that all players attend all scheduled practices. In case of emergency, it is the responsibility of the player to notify their coach via email.
  • While we encourage and support players’ participation in multiple sports, it is important to compare schedules and make the commitment to Wildcat Elite carefully. It is not fair to your team, nor is it worth your investment, if you are not able to attend Club practices and tournament. We discourage players from joining other travel lacrosse teams which interfere with your commitment to and participation with Wildcat Elite.
  • Wildcat Elite Club provides unique support and guidance throughout the college recruiting process. All Club members are provided with the “Wildcat Elite College Recruiting Guide”, written by coaches who are very familiar with the process. We will host a “College Night” in the winter to provide information and answer questions. To begin the recruiting consultation process with Wildcat Elite Coaches, players MUST submit their cover letter, resume, and list of top 15 schools.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES:

  • Tournament Dates are listed on the website. You will pay a deposit for the summer tournaments during Club registration. Tournament registration and balance payments will take place during the Spring, PRIOR to the start of our Summer season. Players will be sent tournament registration instructions via email.
  • All travel and accommodations for tournaments are the responsibility of the player’s family. We will send information regarding arrival/departure times and hotel recommendations prior to the summer season.
  • Player placement on tournament teams is up to the SOLE DISCRETION of Wildcat Elite Coaches. Rosters will be formed based on tournament requirements, team needs, practice attendance, and player performance.
  • Tournament schedules are typically not available to us until a few days prior to the tournament. Due to our geographic location, this often requires us to make early arrival arrangements and late departure arrangements. We will get schedules to you immediately upon receipt from tournament directors. Tournament schedules are always subject to change by tournament directors.
  • Players should arrive to tournament games 45 minutes prior to their first tournament game, and 20 minutes prior to remaining tournament games, unless directed otherwise. Players should be ready to play at this time.
  • ALL players will receive SOME playing time at each tournament. Playing time will be at the discretion of the coach.

FEES & REFUND POLICIES:

  • Membership fees are paid annually in October, upon invitation to the Club after tryouts. Membership fees include practice time, a team uniform, and college consultation. Full payment must be made prior to the start of fall practice.
  • Membership fees hold a spot on the team roster. No refunds will be made for any reason after membership fees have been paid.
  • Tournament fees and travel expenses are not included in the annual membership fee.
  • The amount of tournament entry fees will vary. Fees are based on the team tournament fee and the number of players required on each roster.
  • The Fall tournament deposit is non-refundable. After the balance of the tournament fee has been paid in the Spring, it is also non-refundable for any reason (to include family plans, injury, or illness).
